This beautiful prayer is from the Blessing of the Baptismal Waters. From the Easter Vigil; St John’s Sunday Missal, C. Goodcliffe Neale Ltd 1958.  The intricately carved font is formed from a single block of Tournai Limestone weighinb about 1.5 tonnes and dating from about 1150.  It illustrates scenes from the bible.
