Inspired by a Haiku by Matsuo Basho and printed on ribbed 330GSM card.  A greeting and a beautiful gift.  From the Frost Collection - a limited palette which is all about word and colour as texture: pillowing snow, crystalline fields, ice-cracking cold:  wintry emissaries of your Christmastide greetings.

401: Awake at midnight, the sound of the water jar, cracking in the cold.

Snow had fallen snow on snow, snow on snow on snow on snow ...  A greeting and a beautiful gift.  From the Frost Collection - a limited palette which is all about word and colour as texture: pillowing snow, crystalline fields, ice-cracking cold:  wintry emissaries of your Christmastide greetings.

402:  Bleak midwinter:  In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan, earth stood hard as iron, water as a stone.

A wordsmiths pearl, retrieved with permission from the blog of Penelope Wilcock, well known writer and author.  Pen was crafting “winteriness” in her writing last year, and these words read to me as a blessing;  I asked to share them with you, so you can pass the blessing onward.  From the Frost Collection - a limited palette which is all about word and colour as texture: pillowing snow, crystalline fields, ice-cracking cold:  wintry emissaries of your Christmastide greetings.

403:  Winter Blessing:  Be the shape of trees flight of bird mist in the hollows grace of deer head raised in the frosty field.
